After seeing Get Funked at Under The Bridge, I didn’t hesitate in booking them for Tesco’s Store Managers’ Corporate Event at the NEC. They brought the whole event to life and people talked about them for weeks afterwards!
They are incredibly professional and are loads of fun. I would without doubt book them for my next event!

We are so pleased to be able to recommend Get Funked to our clients. We last had them for a big event at The Four Seasons in Dubai in 2015: “Polina in Wonderland”. Visually their show was incredible and their sound was of the highest quality. They interacted with Polina and her guests and they left a lasting impression on everybody. Get Funked and special guest CeeLo Green entertained guests right into the early hours of the morning. It was fantastic!

The event went superbly well and the band were amazing – the floor was filled from the first song right to the last – I just felt sorry for the DJ after who had to try and get people back on the dance floor. They were a really nice group of people too as I have experienced some bands before who are real divas and don’t make it easy for the event organiser, but your guys were a breeze to deal with and very self-sufficient. I booked Get Funked for a high-profile event that in turn had high expectations. Not only did they exceed these, they knocked them right out of the park! Get Funked have a big sound and even bigger stage presence. Their high-energy performance kept guests captivated and the dance floor full. Band Manager, Martyn Strange, made the booking & logistics process both easy & enjoyable. The unique style in which he manages the band, means I’m confident I could book them time again yet receive a line-up that is chosen specifically for my event each time. Truly brilliant.
TO ALL THE TALENTED MEMBERS OF GET FUNKED. I felt I had to put pen to paper or rather hand to keyboard and thank you all for putting on such a fantastic show for my Charlotte and Joe’s wedding at Wentworth on the 6th July. You guy’s certainly know how to work an audience, and the atmosphere you created in the Ballroom that evening was beyond amazing. Your girls were up there with ‘Martha and the Vandells’ in their prime and the boys’ vocals and range were second to none. As for all you band members at the back (the ones who did all the real work 🙂 ) the brass, percussion and strings combined so well nobody could or wanted to stop dancing – I’m sure, for not a large number of people, you must have noticed. Every phone call, message and letter I have had (and there have been many) has said ‘what an unbelievable band, where did you find them, it was one of the most memorable parts of their day etc etc’. It’s now 3 weeks on and everyone who was there is still talking about you all!!! I’m sure in 3 years they still be talking about you. I truly hope that, although it was another day at the office for you all, you enjoyed the evening as much as everybody else did – we are desperately racking our brains to create an occasion thats special enough to warrant having the band again. WE WILL COME UP WITH SOMETHING!!! Thank you all so, so much – you are an extremely talented group of people that should be sooo proud of yourselves. We used Get Funked for our 25th wedding anniversary two weeks ago. They were absolutely incredible! Dance floor packed all night and we would have paid to go see them. Highly professional. First class musicians and vocals. wow wow wow!!
We wanted a live band at our wedding and we spent a lot of time researching bands. We found Get Funked online and they looked perfect. The music was exactly as we wanted. The closer it got to our wedding the more excited we became and we were hoping the band lived up to our expectations. Well they were better by far than anything we expected. Even the stage setup and lighting were impressive, let alone the band. They were simply incredible and did a superb job of getting everyone on to the dance floor. The music was brilliant and they tailored it to our specific soul / funk choices. They even performed our first song dance which was amazing. All in all they were the highlight of the day. Our only regret was not booking them for longer! Everyone commented on how incredible they were and the main topic of conversation at breakfast the following day was simply about how good the band was! Suffice to say we would happily recommend and book Get Funked again. Amazing.
Hello Martyn. Firstly, a HUGE thank you for all your efforts to have contributed to Zeb and Olivia’s wedding – your contribution with your team and the band were flawless and made the evening flow perfectly, in fact it seemed like it only lasted 10 minutes. As for your ‘relatively unknown band’ – they were superb on every level – performance, variety and generally they gave out so very much as performers and we all noticed, and appreciated that on the midnight hour when they could have stopped, they kept playing well past the allotted time. The arrangements (by your drummer I believe you mentioned) were the foundation for every piece performed, moving from style-to-style effortlessly. You mentioned that each separately did sessions, etc. and if interested, I’d be happy to put them forward to our production company who work with a roster of composers/arrangers/MDs. Simply the best gig I’ve ever been to in London! We bought tickets randomly through seetickets. We were just looking for a fun night out but we couldn’t believe it when we got down to the venue. You guys were insanely good, the venue was unbelievable and we had one of the best nights that I can remember!!! Get Funked were without a doubt one of the best parts of our wedding day! Having struggled to find a quality, contemporary band suitable for our occasion, we were thrilled with the standard of Get Funked. The dance floor was always full, the crowd LOVED the cool setlist which missed new and old, and the way the band got guests involved…we didn’t want it to end!! A number of our guests have asked for the bands details for their own weddings and we would definitely book them again!
